Family evening of fellowship and worship at “HaMerkaz” in Ramat Gan. (23.02.24)

Words can’t really describe my experience during this evening of fellowship and worship.

In 40 years of performing I have never felt so at home singing and playing the bouzouki.

Almost 26 years ago a dear brother at my fellowship in Cyprus—after finding out that I am a musician, said to me, “play and sing for the Lord brother!”

Over the years playing secular music for a living, I have never forgotten my dear brother’s words. “Play and sing for the Lord!”

At Merkaz in Ramat Gan, on February 23 2024, what Nikos said back then totally clicked: I want to play and sing to the Lord all the days of my life.

Psalms 104:33

33 I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.

I’ve lived in Israel since October 2002

When I was 6, I bought a Bible at my elementary school jumble sale.

I started reading Genesis and was fascinated by the stories and fell in love with the characters in the Bible.

I was fascinated that there is a higher power that created everything and that He loves his creation.

In April 1998, when I was living in New York, I had a spiritual experience, I fell in love with the God of Israel and Jesus the Messiah, I repented and was born again. I was 25 years old.

When I believed in Jesus, I fell in love with the Hebrew language, the people, the land and the State of Israel and a year later I began my undergraduate studies in Biblical criticism, the history of the people of Israel and the Hebrew language.

I moved to Israel in 2002.
